About six months ago I wrote about AT&T’s It Can Wait campaign to help prevent people, especially teens, from texting while driving. The campaign has been a tremendous success with over one million pledges and counting since the start.
While the progress has been good, the need to spread the word is only really just beginning. AT&T would like your help by taking the pledge yourself either through the It Can Wait website. From there you can take the pledge on the site, or through their Facebook app that is linked up in the header.
And, as a thank you to you for helping to spread the word, AT&T has generously given us a really cool prize pack you could win, which includes:
- A Samsung Galaxy SIII
- An “It Can Wait” branded case for the GSIII
- Two thumb bands
- Two “It Can Wait” stickers
- A t-shirt
- And a promo code for one large device SkinIt
To win just leave us a comment telling us that you’ve taken the pledge and shared it with your friends and family to encourage them to do the same. You can also enter by telling us a texting while driving story that you’ve experienced.
The winner of the prize pack will be chosen using Random.org based on all comments received through midnight on Monday, February 4, 2013.
So, please, take the pledge (if you haven’t already) and help get the word out over your social networks. It really can wait, and, if it can’t, then pull over and remember it is not just your life at risk. We don’t need anymore things like this happening:
Disclosure: I received the same prize pack that the winner of this contest will receive from AT&T as a thank you for helping them spread the word about the “It Can Wait” campaign. All opinions, however, are my own.Pin It
