001. Annie Leibovitz’s Disney Photography

Awhile back some awesome photos surfaced featuring a few big Hollywood names as live-action versions of Disney’s classic animated characters. The first batch featured the likes of Scarlett Johansson as Cinderella and Rachel Weisz as Snow White. The second batch featured Tina Fey as Tinkerbell and even Jessica Biel as Pocahontas. Now a new batch from Annie Leibovitz has shown up with Olivia Wilde as the Evil Queen and Alec Baldwin as The Magic Mirror from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Penelope Cruz and Jeff Bridges as Beauty and the Beast and Queen Latifah as Ursula from The Little Mermaid.

003. Lifelike Craig HD

The days of thumbing through the classified section of the local paper are quickly fading. With its mass of information the site can sometimes be hard to navigate so for those who pine for simpler days, Lifelike Apps, INC. has just released a slick iPad app with a classic twist.

003. Jimmy Breslin

Iconic Pulitzer winning journalist and author Jimmy Breslin has covered and lived the tales that have shaped our lives, from a personal dialogue with The Son of Sam, David Berkowitz, to NYC mafia investigative reporting that included a near fatal beating at the hands of the Lucchese crime family. Sometimes lost in his gritty tough guy demeanor is his common man approach to cataclysmic events. We revisit his iconic vantage of the funeral of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy in the New York Herald Tribune, November 1963.

004. The 72 Hour Trunk

“Last post I shared that I might have to put this amazing trunk design on hold and move forward. Lo and behold one of my manufactures is a follower of the website. Shortly after the post I get a phone call requesting a meeting. Two days later I’m in his office and he’s asking to get a better understanding of what is the vision, where is the “artistic glitch” and what’s the over all problem we keep running into?”

003. Gnome Life

For the most part, Gnome Life sounds like your typical Tumblr: a flannel-clad young guy moves to New York and posts lots of vaguely artsy photos of himself staring off into the distance. But there’s a twist: he’s a one-hundred-eight-year-old gnome. Like, white beard, red hat gnome.” (via Urlesque)
