Ah, winter in New England. That means snow days and sick kids every year and of course some of those are going to happen on days that I’m suppose to be in the studio to do a show. But, the great thing about technology is that instead of canceling I got to do my first episode of Digital Dads TV live from my home office.
Don’t forget that Digital Dads TV is live every Monday from 2-3 PM Eastern on The Pulse Network so tune in and be part of the live show.

I’ve been on the road as part of the Content RulesBook Tour and last week’s planned show from Montreal ended up not being possible when my flight got delayed.
So, this episode of Digital Dads TV finds me in The Pulse Network studios for the first time in 2011. I had so much content that I wanted to catch everyone up on that I couldn’t squeeze in a guest. Enjoy the show and links to everything can be found below.

I was very lucky to be able to attend CES this year and thanks to a partnership with Kodak, The Pulse Network was creating live programming right from the show floor so I got to do a Digital Dads TV while in Las Vegas. I put out the call for guests and got a nice variety of people to show up.

Recording a show the day before my book Content Rules hits store shelves means that I’m going to be a bit wired in the studio. Thankfully Paul Durham from Black Lab was his usual mellow self so it helped balance out the show nicely.
In addition to the special interview with on of my favorite bands, I talked about and showed the cool outreach package I got from the awesome new site Wonderopolis.

Having children, I know how hard it can be to sift through the onslaught of ads from toy companies to figure out what your kids will want under the Christmas tree.
So, this week’s Digital Dads TV has special guest Keri “Toy Queen” Wilmot on to share her expertise on the subject. We highly recommend adding her site ToyQueen.com to your list of must check out sites this holiday season.

With the holiday season here, C.C. thought it would be fun to get a little playful with the naming of an episode of Digital Dads TV .
The plan was to review Call of Duty: Black Ops and then have the rock band Black Lab on the show. That was the plan, but due to some last minute time zone fun the band couldn’t make it. Don’t worry though, they will be on another episode soon enough.

The minute we realized that November 1, 2010 would fall on a Monday, we knew that we had to dedicate the entire hour of Digital Dads TV to Movember.
By now we hope you know that Movember is a global event to raise awareness and money to help battle mens cancers. C.C. is taking part in it again this year and had some of the other members of Team Boston into The Pulse Network studio as well as Adam Garone, the founder of Movember, on the show via Skype.
There was so much masculinity in the studio that we actually blew out the power to the entire building which lead to some fun off camera screams and laughter. Kudos to our production team for the fun editing they did (around the 18 minute mark if you are curious).

Our goal with Digital Dads TV is to highlight the various videos, technology and topics that guys should be aware of. Whenever possible we have guest either in studio or over skype and this week we were very fortunate to have David DeVore fly in from Florida to be on the show. We bet you’ve seen his famous video David After Dentist and we wanted to talk about how that came out and what he and his family have done since it went viral.
You can watch DDTV live every Monday from 2-3 PM EST on The Pulse Network.
One of my personal highlights from my recent trip to Las Vegas was getting to do Digital Dads TV live from the expo floor in The Pulse Network booth. Not only did I have a bunch of great guests sit down and chat with us, but I also got to host the show with the talented and awesome Maggie Rulli. Add some great scotch into the mix and it instantly equals an awesome time!
