May 12th is National Train Day and there will be activities held around the country.

As you may know, Amtrak is the current sponsor of my show Passion Hit TV so I’ve got to hear a lot about the events that are coming up in conjunction with this celebration.

Me and the family are going to be attending the events in New York City, but because there are train lovers everywhere there are other major events scheduled in Philadelphia, Chicago,  and Los Angeles. Best part is that anyone can host an event in their town as well and if you look at the complete event list you’ll see that there are celebrations happening around the country.

I love that they are encouraging everyone to share their stories about memories on the train and showcasing them on the website. There is even a contest where if you submit a memory you can win some great train vacations and other goodies. So, if you have a story you’d be silly not to share it for a chance to win something great.

I’m excited to share this day with the kids. We’ll of course be taking the train from Boston to New York for the event and then back home. It’ll make a great memory for us and I can’t wait to see all the other excited train fans.
