I'm not annoyed by things being aimed at Mom Bloggers at all. What I recently ranted about was how if a group or event only has the word "Mom" in it that it is going to turn people like me who are not a mom off. That is the problem I had.

I think reaching out to Moms is a smart idea for many brands. I've done it myself as a marketer, BUT, I think that the really smart brands will reach out to all parents and not just moms.

So... you're annoyed about all of the things that are aimed at mom bloggers (at least in name), but you've got a relationship with Sony that seems to be due to your status as a dad blogger... Ah, irony. Is Sony reaching out to mom bloggers? Maybe they can start a group called Sony Dads. Oh, wait. They don't have to... it's just assumed. Seriously, though, I hope they're reaching out to women, too.

Check out the downloadable game, Flower. The controls are as simple as they could possibly be: you have to push one button (any button) to make the wind go faster, and you control the wind by moving the six-axis around. Content is also as benign as it could be: you're blowing flower petals around various landscapes, bringing color and life back to them. My three year old daughter loves it. Oh, and LBP is great too.

What about Eyepet? That is a really great game for kids, my nephew loves it. I hate it though.

Also as others have mentioned, LittleBigPlanet is by far the most family friendly game on PS3. It is good for adults (because of the skill needed to finish the whole game), but is also great for kids and the controls are very simple. My nephew learned to play the game by the time he was 3 years old, and the bit he likes the most is the customisation tools for the sackboy.

I'm assuming that LBP = Little Big Planet?

If so, I've heard nothing but great things about the game, but have never had a chance to play it myself so I can't provide any insight into if it is a good game or not. I'm hoping to try it out in the future, because it looks fascinating.
